Green Screen workshop

Today's green screen workshop was fun but I feel I learnt so much too. We had a few technical issues setting up the lights but we set it all up and started filming. It was really important that there was no shadows on the green screen because we wanted an even coverage of green so the computer could pick out all the green when it came to editing.

I also learnt that it used to be a blue screen. But people would always be wearing jeans so that wouldn't work so they eventually changed it to green screen. 

We all picked a newspaper article and then read it out in front of the green screen. My article was one on a girl that had been saved by a heart valve transplant from a pig! 

When it came to choosing a background for my green screen I wanted to choose something topical so I chose to be reporting from a hospital.
