WBL: First day

As my first day of working at Sports Presentation at the Olympics drew closer I was really excited. I had been assigned Water Polo as my sport. I didnt know alot about the sport so did a little bit of research before my first day.

Once I had collected my accreditation to allow me into the Olympic Park, I met the Production Co-ordinator and othe Production Asstiant, Sarah. Sarah and I were then given a tour of our offices (which had an amazing view over the swimming pool!) and also the Water Polo Arena which was to be were we spent most of our time.

She then explained out roles to us. I would be doing the early shifts each day and Sarah the late ones. We would be assisting the crew where ever they needed it. Our main role was printing and stapling scripts and running orders and making sure they were delievered to the crew, venue management and Omega the timings department.

We would also be giving lunch and dinner vouchers to all of the crew and make sure they were always supplied with water as it was so hot in the Water Polo Arena.

We were also told that we would be doing some researching but that would be later on in the games.

Our first job we were given was to literally get lost in the Olympic Park! On the next day we had to find the crew when they arrived or give them directions as it was such a confusing place to get around. So Sarah and I set off to get lost in the park, which was really cool as we got to see everything and all the different venues.

After today and getting a little taster of what the next two weeks were to be like I was really looking forward to it!

Where I would be spending most of my time
