I am really proud of everyone's hard work, and think that the day went really well with no major hiccups atall! I really enjoyed my role as floor manager and feel that I really came into it by the time we came to record.
As the audience arrived, I gave a talk to them about health and safety, mentioning the fire exits and trip hazards. Also that mobile phones should be turned off. But also thanking them as we appreciated them taking time out to come and watch our show.
The recording went really smoothly as we had had some really succesful rehearsals with the bands previously. We had to do Standing on Giants and The Soundcasters song twice, to ensure we had the best possible shots. But both The Charlie Rivers Band songs were one take wonders! The audience seemed to really enjoy themselves and we even had a little surprise at the end of the show, where some of the members of The Soundcasters and Standing On Giants played 'No Diggity' starring our very own Alex Mogaji.
Our presenter Adam Dowling was briliant, he knew all of his lines and really added in his own ad lib that worked really well and added a special touch to the program.
Thank you again to our team of runners that helped us out so much on the day Fran and I really appreciated it.
Now we will just wait for the final show!
