Fiction Adaptation unit: idea development
So after my tutorial with Helen we came to the conclusion that 'An Arundel Tomb' is far too literal to be able to make a good adaption of it. I have now deceided to do, 'The Listeners' by Laurence Binyon. I would like to a film with lots of beautiful shots of nature as the theme of my film with be 'life.' It is inevitable that everyone is born then grows and dies. Not just people but also flowers, animals and plants. My film will have shots of sunsets and sunrises, beautiful nature (such as flowers and landscapes), people of all ages enjoying life. But it will also include contrasting images, of dead flowers, trees with no leaves on, graveyards. The theme of my film will be a serious but inspirational one. I have started thinking about which images will go with what words and storyboarding my ideas.

I love this idea - if you shoot this with the edit in mind you can use the same 'motif' and actions and cross-cut between then to make the message clear. Well done.
