Direction unit: Editing

So the editing process is nearly finished. Editing has never been my strongest point, and I am annoyed as I think it has let me down after all my pre production work. But some of the stuff I have got is ok. After cutting all my shots down, I was concentrating on the sound aspect today.
I want to have a lot of music playing as if the radio was but then also some sound effects.

For the first part of the film I wanted to make a big impact, so wanted to choose a song that really had a punch.
These were my two options:

Iggy Pop- Lust for life

Ocean Colour Scene- River boat song

I really like how much of impact Iggy pops, 'Lust for Life' makes but in the end I decided it was too fast for the chosen bit of film I wanted to match it with. So I have chosen 'The River boat song,' as I think it fits perfectly with the sort of mood I want to portray. The scene is of Tony walking down the street and as his character is very full of himself and cocky, I though this song would be perfect to show his authority.

For scene 3 I wanted a song that could be playing in the background as if it was on the radio. As this scene is about Tony trying to get Michelle to have sex with his best friend, I wanted to have quite a sexy sort of feel to this song. Michelle is very pretty and she knows she can get any boys attention. So the song that I thought would be best to portray this was:

Nelly Furtado- Maneater
