The course so far..

Thursday 3rd Feb-

Today was the day we were introduced into using the HD camera, I dont have much experience with cameras so I was nervous as I thought they were going to be really complicated with all the buttons and dials, but once the tutorials were over it all seemed alot less daunting and I was confident I would be able to use them.

The task for the day was to complete a 3 minute film and the title had to have the word 'Life' in, with no pre or post production atall. I was in a group with Alex and Jane and we all had ideas on what we could do with the title, but eventually deceided on calling our piece, 'A Day In The Life Of A Peeping Tom,' and basing our film around this.
The idea was that the short film would be filmed in a point of view perspective. The 'stalker' would follow someone posing as a celebrity around the Maidstone Television Studios in various shots. These shots included in the canteen, driving into the carpark and even the toilets!

As a group I think we worked really well togeather and got on well. The idea really improved it as we started filming, as everyone had great ideas that we used to make the film a lot more realistic and to develop the story. Alex had a lot  more past camera experience than us, so it was good to have alex there to reassure us when we took turns filming.

I was really pleased how the end film turned out when it was shown to the rest of the class and we were given some very positive feedback. I had a very good first experience using cameras and look forward to using them again.
