Pre production: Adaptations

Originally I thought there were very few Jacquline Wilson adaptations on television but after exstensive research I have found out I was wrong.
These are the tv adaptations I have found:

• Ch 4 Cliffhanger- 1995- 2 Parter
• Ch 4 Double Act- 2002- 1 off feature
• Ch 4 The Illustrated Mum- 2003- 1 off feature
• ITV Girls In Love- 2003- Series
• BBC Dustbin Baby- 2008- 1 off feature

After looking into this research it began to make me reconsider what I was attempting and my audience. I am now looking at doing a longer feature of around 100 minutes as that seems the most average of these adaptions. I did originally reconsider my intended audience channel of CBBC. But I am now going to stick to it as it is the most popular, free kids channel. Channel 4 do not tend to do childrens dramas anymore so I will be staying clear of that.
