WBL: Twitter at the Olympics

The social network Twitter played a large part of my role as the audiences were given the chance to tweet into us if they wanted to participate in out half time games in simply wanted a shout out. We had to continuously check twitter throughout the game to make sure not to miss anything.
Sport Presentation is keeping up to date with current trends by using twitter and is also allowing maximum advertising across the internet to a large variety of different people. In this case it advertises the chance to get a shout out in the arena or to come down and play a game at half time. It gives a buzz to the event and also gives fans a level of exclusivity as if they didn’t have twitter it would have been harder for them to be chosen. The only problem we encountered while using Twitter was the fact that the twitter name was neither memorable or anything directly to do with wheelchair rugby. It was @SP003. We did encounter a lot of people asking again and again what it was.
