So today Hennie, Abbi and I went to visit the possible venues for shooting the VT 'Maidstone Gig Guide.'
Earls
Earls has live music every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It has a raised stage area, complete with lights, sound equipment and smoke machines. Earls has senior bands, folk bands and comedy acts performing, but we are interested is the up and coming acts. They have a company that put on up and coming acts called, 'Make Some Noise.' Their next gig is on the 5th of April so we are going down to see that and speak to Clive who runs it. These gigs are from 9-12. The Landlord Dave is happy for us to film them.

Druids Inn
Druids Inn has live music playing on a Friday and Saturday from 9.30-12.30 but the music on a Sunday from 7-10 is more what we are looking for as it is up and coming bands and their is some acoustic acts too. The pub has an outdoor covered area where the bands play which would be really good to film in. Again the Landlord was very happy for us to film there.

The Style and Winch
Spoke to Alex. Live music 2nd Friday of every month. Outside area for bands and also inside covered area. The Style and Winch holds lots of events such as 'Make Some Noise' and 'Splinter Sessions' which is for up and coming bands and open mic nights. We need to talk to the Landlady Debbie about filming for definate but the man we spoke to sounded very confident.

I half know Clive, if that helps, its a slightly different music scene. Zoe Sparkle does a lot of work and hosts things to support Maidstone's music. Depends on what content you were planning to shoot?
