As Live unit: 1st VT!

Today we have a done a lot of work towards our VTs. Our first task of the day was to compose a list of all the pubs and venues we were to ring up and see if they would be interested in being filmed for our gig guide for maidstone. This was our original list and what days live music is played:

• The Lower Bell
• The Rose- Thursdays
• The Flowerpot- Tuesdays and Sundays
• Earls- Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
• Drakes- Friday, Saturdays and Sundays
• The White Horse- Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday
• Chicagos- Wednesdays
• Druids- Saturdays and Sundays
• Pizza express- Monthly

Once we rung all these places, we received different reactions from them, most places were really happy to help out. This is a list of pubs that have confirmed we can film there:

• The Flowerpot
• Drakes
• The White Horse
• Chicagos
• Pizza Express

We also discussed with lauren any ideas she had so that we can incorporate them in our ideas and storyboards. Lauren's ideas was having the gig guide to maidstone in a point of view type way, very fast paced shot introducing the venues. We will not be having a presenter is this VT but a voiceover. Lauren also mentioned having some interesting facts about Maidstone, maybe famous people in bands or solo artists that have originally come from Maidstone. We deceided that would ask pub landlords about these interesting facts as pub landlords are normally interesting characters.
