I cant wait to get back to uni, feels like these holidays have gone on forever! When Simon put the poems on the blog I got stuck in and have read all of the poems and studied them to try and deceide which one I want to do. I really like 'An Arundel Tomb' by Phillip Larkin. It has a really nice message at the end that, 'what will survive of us is love.' I researched into this poem and it is about Richard FitzAlan, 10th Earl of Arundel (d. 1376), and his second wife, Eleanor of Lancaster (d. 1372), with their dogs at their feet. The tomb is actually in the chichester cathedral. I know the area of Chichester and Arundel really well as my family is from there. There is some amazing locations there that would be really good to film in so I would love to film there. I had some good ideas how I want to portray this poem so I will carry on working on these.
